Ducklings and Mother

A photo of a mother mallard duck and her ducklings. The photo was slightly edited because my camera phone tends to desaturate things when I take pictures.
EDIT: I changed the image to the unaltered version of the photo, since the altered version ended up looking worse than the original.

There's actually an interesting story behind this photo. I live near a pond that every summer attracts ducks, storks, dragonflies, and more perching birds than I can count. It's actually a nice pastime watching the animals do their thing. I was surprised when I was able to get so close to these ducks. The mother and her babies were surprisingly calm, although if I tried to get any closer the mother would make a soft noise that sounded like a goose squawk to tell me not to get any closer. The ducks spent their time either resting on their preferred patch of grass (as they are doing here), searching for moss and algae on the pond's edge, or eating the bread I threw their way.

You can only see four of the ducklings in this image, but there are actually five total.
EDIT: I just realized that you can see the fifth duckling. It's just hidden between one of the three huddled together and the nearby rock.
